vs New Boys

Victoria Park, Pitch 3. 22 July 2008, 18:00

The Tigers didn't didn't get off to a particularly auspicious start, leaving themselves on 2 for 2 after 5 overs, George excelling with a record breaking 12 ball duck. Imison steadied the ship, scoring 36 off 27 balls, before being run out for the second time this season by Giggs. Giggs, perhaps motivated by his Stevie Wonder-esque calling to dismiss the Tigers' best batsman, got his head down and, helped by Yorke and Summerville, managed to drag the Tigers to a total of 86. But this was never going to be enough to trouble the league leaders. Despite some of the best bowling of the season, including a particularly vicious short ball from a frustrated Imison which caught the New Boys' opening bat on the chin, the New Boys scampered home comfortably with just one wicket down and a couple of overs to spare.
