Welcome to the new Bengal Tigers website. This is the place to come for news, profiles and everything you may want to know about the Bengal Tigers Cricket Club. If you have any further requests or suggestions for updates then please contact Mark Summerville.

Our team name is The Bengal Tigers C.C. A strange name I know and it’s a long story but basically, a large number of the guys that will be been playing for our cricket team have been playing together as a five-a-side football team for a couple of years. When we set up the football team, the core of the team lived above a curry house on Brick Lane, the signature dish of which was the Bengal Tiger – we were deciding on a team name for the football side whilst eating a curry and the Bengal Tigers were born! As the cricket team is largely the same group it seemed to make sense to keep the name.

We play on a weekly basis in the VPCCL. An 8-a-side competition based in Victoria Park. We convene at about 5:30 for a 6pm start.

New Kit Ordered and Logo Unveiled

After a nationwide search, the executive committee have finalised designs for the official club logo. The winning design is exclusively revealed here. The logo will feature on the team kit and caps. Kit has been ordered and should be with us in time for our first net session.

We've ordered: Pads x4, Gloves x4, Wicky Pads, Wicky Gloves, Boxes x5 (you may prefer you own!), Thigh Pads x4, Holdalls x2, Balls x6, Bats x2, Score Book, Sweaters x15, Caps x13, Stumps
